About this page
This page summarises the main findings from the weather, academic-term and daily-deviation analyses.
Results are grouped by transport mode to highlight broader mobility patterns across the Envelopa Campus.
Use the tabs to move between findings. Hover over or tap the chart bars to view the values and number of
contributing tests.
Weather and mobility
Daily temperature, precipitation and mobility counts were used to assess weather sensitivity. Correlations
show the strength of the relationship, while statistical models estimate how mobility changed during cold,
warm and rainy conditions.
Absolute correlation values are displayed, so higher values indicate a stronger association regardless of
whether mobility increased or decreased.
Academic-term influence
Daily mobility models first accounted for weekday and weather conditions. Academic term was then added to
assess whether it improved the explanation of mobility patterns.
The displayed ΔAIC values show the improvement in model performance after academic-term controls were
included.
Daily deviations
Each day was compared with observations from the same weekday during the preceding and following six weeks.
Days were shortlisted when the difference from the baseline was large enough across the z-score,
percentage-change and raw-count criteria.
The shortlisted dates were compared with Czech public holidays and selected local events. Identified
matches are possible explanations rather than confirmed causes.
How to interpret the results
The findings show associations rather than causation. Dataset coverage, sensor type and the number of
available tests differ between transport modes, so results should be interpreted as general patterns across
the observed periods.
